About Us

Gearhouse Auto is a growing vehicle operations and rental management company based in Austin. We help vehicle owners manage their cars for rental use, including airport delivery support, vehicle turnover, cleaning, inspections, and day-to-day operations.

About the Role

This is a hands-on entry-level operations role. In the beginning, the job will focus heavily on vehicle cleaning, basic inspections, airport handoff support, and keeping cars rental-ready. Over time, the right person will be trained to take on more responsibility in fleet coordination and vehicle operations management.

What You'll Do

• ●Clean and prepare vehicles between trips
• ●Perform basic vehicle inspections before and after rentals
• ●Take clear photos and document vehicle condition
• ●Help move vehicles to and from airport or parking locations
• ●Check fuel, charging level, tires, and general readiness
• ●Report damage, warning lights, or maintenance issues promptly
• ●Keep vehicles organized, stocked, and presentable
• ●Support day-to-day fleet operations as the business grows
• ●Learn our process for vehicle turnover, issue reporting, and fleet coordination

What We're Looking For

• ●Responsible and detail-oriented
• ●Patient, reliable, and able to follow instructions
• ●Comfortable with hands-on work and being around cars regularly
• ●Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• ●Able to work independently and communicate clearly
• ●Punctual and dependable, especially for time-sensitive tasks
• ●Open to learning fleet operations and growing into a larger role

Preferred but Not Required

• ●Experience with car rental, Turo, dealership operations, detailing, valet, or lot management
• ●Basic knowledge of cars and vehicle condition checks
• ●Comfortable driving different types of vehicles
• ●Weekend and flexible availability
